Asia News: UNU-AIT Signing Ceremony and Joint Working Group held on 27 and 28 March, 2007

Asian Institute of Technology will co-host with UNU a signing ceremony to become an associated institute of the UNU. The collaborated research work will focus on the following four identified themes.
1. Urban futures and mega cities;
2. Water management;
     2a. Mekong basin and GMSARN research networking
     2b. Center of Excellence on Persistent Organic Pollutants
     2c. Water Research and applications
3. Online education and information dissemination.
4. Biodiplomacy Initiative

(III)  Possibilities and efforts needed for tapping various funding sources

 

 

 2) Presentations from AIT highlighting:

(I)       Expertise available and

(II)    Experience with similar activities

 

 

3) Brainstorm session to operationalize the program targeting:

(I)       Identification of joint activities to be undertaken and efforts needed thereof

(II)    Identification of funding sources to be pursued

(III)  Finalization of activities and timetable
